Upcoming church activities
A few upcoming events at local churches include:
Barbee’s Grove Baptist Church, 24819 Barbees Grove Church Road, Oakboro, will present its vacation Bible school - “Yeehaw: Celebrating God’s Greatest Gift” - beginning Friday, June 20, with a kickoff roundup from 6-8 p.m. This will include fun and games. It continues with the “VBS Hoe-down” from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21. This will include singing, crafting, Bible stories and more activities. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
